Our Mission

To provide high quality, comprehensive payroll processing services at an affordable price.  Many payroll processors stop once the checks have been written and basic reports have been issued.  PRD follows your payroll through to the general ledger posting.  We provide completely customized general ledger entries with each pay, including detailed departmentalization as necessary.

PRD Commitment

The Payroll Department is committed to providing the highest quality of service to our clients.  To do this, we review your individual situation to determine the best combination of services to satisfy your needs.  We take the hassle out of pay day so you and your staff are free to run your business.

 Profile

 Formation

The Payroll Department was founded as a service extension of a Western Pennsylvania CPA firm in 1997 to provide comprehensive payroll services with an accounting perspective.  The associates of PRD possess over 15 years experience in payroll processing and consulting.  The founders viewed the formation of The Payroll Department as an opportunity to serve local businesses with "hometown" service at an affordable price while maintaining the highest standards of quality that would rival any big city service provider.  Since its inception, The Payroll Department has grown exponentially and has continued to add new types and sizes of clients along with expansion of services and increased levels of customization.

PRD is a member of The American Payroll Association through its Managing Director.
